I’m starting my CBD oil journey for the very first time tomorrow morning.. I have purchased the 10 day trial.. I’ve had fibro for 15 years, but I was left disabled by having undiagnosed sacroiliac joint dysfunction (my pelvis was out of alignment by millimetres) which happened 25 years ago, when I had my daughter.. I had literally every test including mri’s, Nerve tests, muscle biopsies, the list is endless… they eventually classed me as having chronic pain and I was put on codeine, fentynl patch & naproxen (which has caused permanent damage to my stomach lining) I’m on omeprazole for that.. I also have osteoarthritis of my cervical spine and a misbehaving under active thyroid…
4 years ago… I was referred to the spine clinic and as I walked towards the doctor on my walking frame.. he said “I know exactly what is wrong with you” yeah right.. I told him to knock himself out, as every other doctor before him, couldn’t explain my pain, and weak legs… 1 hour later I walked out without my walking frame and 50% of my pain had gone, that doctor gave me my life back…
I spent 18 months regaining some stamina, I lost 3 stone in weight, weaned myself off the codeine and fentynl patch, separated from my husband, my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy and I lost my dad very suddenly, It took me a year to convince DWP that I was ready to work again.. I tried working for employers, but I still had fibro and pain… my spine kept coming out too, top, middle and bottom, my spine wasn’t used to be straight, from being wonky when my pelvis was out… but I wanted to work again.. so I went self employed, became an Avon rep.. and last year I was ranked 334 in the whole of the UK out of 100,000 reps… I was so proud of myself, my confidence grew and I lost a little more weight, from posting 300 books through doors every 3 weeks…
Everything was looking up, until October… I started getting more back pain.. I’ve just had my MRI results last week, I now have osteoarthritis in my lumber region, and 2 bulging discs pinching my nerve… I cannot put into words how much pain I’m in, there is a fibro party going on in every part of my body in response to the pain in my back, can’t sit, stand or walk very well.. I’ve had to close my business and I’m now at the mercy of Universal Credit.. just found out there is a 6 month waiting list to see the orthopaedic surgeons… I can either let this beat me, or I can keep fighting.. if I get the bulging discs shaved off… and get rid of all this NEW pain I’ve had since October.. I can get my life back again… 🤞🏻🤞🏻
