I made Berth March 2020, during our first lockdown, I’d never made anything like this before, so spent a long, long time of Pinterest. I made my own air dry clay, master paper mache and only used materials I had in my craft supplies, mainly because it was near on impossible to getting anything online during the first lockdown… the world went crazy

As did I nearly… when I’m anxious I fall into my craft.. my family love Bert & Bertha and they make all of us smile ever time we walk past them, they’re simply bonkers and crazy and that’s why we love them.. my 9 year old, took great delight in showing her friends on FaceTime, laughing at what mum made.. (she wasn’t being mean, I love that she likes to show off “mums makes”) my reply was always to say 

“You make think they’re crazy huney, but if I were you, I’d be more worried about the fact Bert & Bertha were created from mums imagination” 😂😂

What a fabulous pair, when I stood back and looked at them together, my first reaction was obviously to smile with pride that I made them, but I also realised I’ve probably just created what the future holds for Brian and I…

As crazy as it seems, Bert & Bertha helped my mental health during the lockdowns, I live with chronic pain from spinal stenosis and fibromyalgia (amongst other things).  I love crafting, letting my imagination go wild…
