My Lockdown Creations ðŸ¥°

Really happy with how this turned out. I remember my mum painting since I was little, her paintings were always amazing. I’ve picked up a paintbrush a few times over the years, but it’s never really clicked before. So imagine my shock when it did this time. I’m living with chronic pain from osteoarthritis, stenosis in my lumbar spine, fibromyalgia, a misbehaving underactive thyroid to name but a few.

Lockdown has been very hard for everyone, I’ve barely left the house for a year, which means neither has my 10 year old, my family all live in Wales (I’m in England), we used to visit every other weekend and I’ve had to watch my grandchildren grow up on FaceTime.

During the first lockdown I discovered resin, I made sculpture bowls, necklaces and even a sculpture wave.

Had a lot of fun making these, the possibilities are endless. I’ve recently moved house and a lot of my craft supplies, including my resin is still in storage, so I decided to try other crafts instead…

From paper mache, to breast milk jewellery for my eldest daughter, she’s reached the end of her breast feeding journey after having my 4 wonderful grandchildren…Breast milk heart/bows on a photo frame as a gift for my daughter.

I’ve made dragon eggs and Harry Potter wands for my grandchildren

And a flamingo picture for my 10 year old

Breast Milk hearts & bows, made for my eldest daughter, her breastfeeding journey has come to an end after having four wonderful children, my gorgeous grandchildren, so I made her a photo frame keepsake…

Despite all the pain and heartache, I have to say that I’ve enjoyed every moment of getting lost in arts and crafts… I’ve learned lots of new skills, only problem is going to be finding somewhere to display everything…..
